35 Pumpkin Ales: Spiced, Barrel-Aged, Pumpkin Porters, Saisons And More

As cooler Fall weather starts to roll in the craft beer market fills up with pumpkin flavored beers. Each year seems to bring some new and exciting styles of pumpkin beers. For 2013, there are traditional spiced pumpkin ales, pumpkin porters, pumpkin saisons, a pumpkin barleywine, pumpkin lager, and barrel-aged pumpkin beers.

Pumpkin beers start hitting the shelves in August and continue to be released into October. Pumpkin beers from Southern Tier, New Belgium, and Brooklyn Brewery are widely distributed and on shelves by mid-August. Many of the beers though, are only available in local markets, so if you’re traveling this Fall, be sure to check local beer store shelves.
