Avery Rumpkin – Rum Barrel-Aged Pumpkin Ale Releases Sunday, September 22nd

Avery Brewing (Boulder, CO) announced the annual release of Rumpkin, a Rum Barrel-Aged Spiced Pumpkin Ale. The 2013 release weighs in at a whopping 18.5% ABV, and was brewed with hand roasted organic pumpkins, nutmgeg, cinnamon, and ginger. Rumpkin was aged in dark rum barrels for six months. The final beer has flavors of pumpkin, autumn spices, oak, rum, and alcohol.

Avery only produced 617 cases of Rumpkin for 2013. Sales will start at 5pm on Sunday, September 22nd. Single bottles will be available for $12 and customers can purchase up to 1 case of beer. Fans can start lining up as early as 11am that morning, and Avery will feature rare beers and Tap Room exclusives during the pre-release event.
