Cigar City Brewing (Tampa, FL) recently took delivery of four new 120bbl tanks which will increase their brewing capacity to 60,000bbls per year. With the new tanks, the brewery is planning to expand distribution to the Florida panhandle region with their core beers and seasonal offerings. The brewery is also planning to attend the Emerald Coast Beer Fest in the region, on September 6th.

To celebrate the recently passed Home Brewers Act in Alabama, Cigar City is brewing a special beer to commemorate the event. Head Brewer, Wayne Wambles is an Alabama native, and worked at breweries in the state early on in his brewing career. The special beer will be called Wiregrass Post-Prohibition Ale (6.3% ABV), and will be a straw colored pale ale with a melange of citrusy flavors and toasted grain notes. The beer will be released in cans later this summer.
