Alaskan Black IPA

Style is also known as a Cascadian Dark Ale.

Pours a dark black color.  Aromas of citrus, pine, and dark malts.  Caramel and hop flavors are balanced in the middle.  Finish is dry with pleasant lingering bitterness from hops and toasted malts.

A trick to this style is to balance the natural bitterness of dark malts with high additions of hops for flavoring and aroma.  Alaskan does this nicely.

Hops: Cascade, Centennial

Malts: 2-row, Caramel, Chocolate

Spring Seasonal release in bottles, and on draft.
