de Garde Brewing Spears Pale Ale Review

An American Pale Ale fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and aged in oak gin barrels.

Pours a pale orange color with a frothy white head. Notes of oak, earthiness, and citrusy hops. Medium-light in body with flavors of gin, spice, and citrusy hops. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish.

Brewed with Citra hops.

A great example of innovative craft brewing.

Limited availability on draft.

Good funk, with mango and peach. Dry and bitter finish.
