An extremely hopped beer

Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA Review

Pours a light orange-copper color.  Aromas of pine, citrus, caramel malt, and alcohol.  Sweet malt flavors are interwoven with a smooth bitterness, and strong alcohol flavor. Not as intense of a hop bomb as one would think, due to the high alcohol presence and massive amounts of malt used to brew the beer.

Warm and complex finish.

120 Minute IPA is boiled about 2x the average beer and continuously hopped during this time.

After fermentation, the beer is dry-hopped to increase hop characteristics.

Very limited availability in bottles.

Well brewed beer but a lot of the aspects of a good IPA are lost due to a dominating alcohol flavor and aroma. Sipping beer, like a very strong barleywine.
