Flying Dog Brewery Barrel-Aged Gonzo Imperial Porter Review

Pours a black color with a creamy tan head.  Aromas of roasty malt, oak, and vanilla.  Full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, and mild woody oak.  Balanced finish with some earthy hop bitterness.

Hops: Perle, Northern Brewer, Cascade

Malt: 2-row, Dark Crystal, Light Crystal, Munich

Aged for about six months in oak whiskey barrels.

Limited release.

Great notes of vanilla and oak. Smooth, rich and full bodied.
