Founders Dirty Bastard Strong Scotch Ale Review

Pours a dark ruby red color.  Aromas of sweet malt, smoke, and peat.  Full-bodied malty flavors with some earthy hop notes to balance.  Finishes rich and smooth.

An americanized version of a Scotch Ale with quite a bit more hop presence than is typical.

Available year round in bottles and on draft.

All the malt of a good Scotch Ale but a lot more hops.

    Interesting, and works nicely.

Discovered this on tap at Hopfields in Austin. Malty and smoky with a rich mouthfeel. Was a fantastic beer to sip outdoors on a cool spring evening.
