Goose Island Pepe Nero Dark Saison Review

Pours a dark mahogany color.  Aromas of black pepper, dark malt, and Belgian yeast.   Medium body with flavors of dark malt and spice. Low in bitterness.

Hops: Saaz, Pilgrim

Malt: Pilsner, Rye, Crystal Rye, Black Malt

Also brewed with black peppercorns for added spiciness.

Available year round in bottles.

    Poured from a 12 oz. bottle.

    Poured a dark reddish-brown color. Aromas of dark malt, spice, and farmhouse yeast.

    Body was about medium, a little thinner than most saisons.

    Flavors included dark plum, chocolate, and black pepper.
