Green Flash Brewing Le Freak Ale Review

Brewed as a hybrid cross between an Imperial IPA and a Belgian Style Tripel.

Pours a pale orange-copper color with a frothy white head.  Aromas of tropical fruit, spice, and Belgian yeast.  Highly carbonated with crisp fruity flavors and a high bitterness level.

Dry-hopped and bottle conditioned.

Available year round in bottles and on draft.

Interesting hybrid beer. Sweetness of a tripel with high bitterness. Belgian yeast adds a nice touch of fruit.

Not an everyday beer, but a refreshing change once in a while.

A little too freaky for me. I love Imperial IPAs and Tripels, but not in the same glass.
