Rogue Santa’s Private Reserve Review

Pours a deep red color.  Roasty and malty with a hoppy spruce finish.

Malts used include; Pale 2-row, Carastan, and Crystal

Hops; Amarillo and Perle.

Pairs well with roasted turkey and baked ham.

Released annually each Holiday Season in bottles and on draft.

Something draws me to this beer each holiday season. Maybe it’s the seasonal label. More likely though are the bold piney and caramel malt favors at a session style alcohol level. Nice alternative to thick and malty winter warmers.

Great caramel and piney notes in this beer.
