Russian River Brewing Supplication Sour Brown Ale Review

A sour brown ale aged in Pinot Noir barrels with sour cherries.

Pours a ruby red color with a rocky white head.   Notes of cherry, oak, tartness, and dark fruit. Clean sourness that carries through from start to finish, with flavors of cherry and oak.

Aged in Pinot Noir barrels for 12 months and fermented with lactobacillus and brettanomyces yeasts.

Limited availability in bottles and on draft.

An early pioneer of the sour beer movement in the U.S.

Great sourness and cherry flavors. Lots of oak and red grape notes.
