Surly Brewing Smoke Oak-Aged Smoked Baltic Porter Review

Surly Smoke is a Baltic Porter brewed with a lager yeast to provide cleaner flavors with less fruity notes and a crisper finish, than porters fermented with ale yeasts.

Pours a dark reddish-brown color. Notes of vanilla and smoky wood. Flavors of dark plum, black licorice, and smokey dark malt.  Finishes velvety smooth with a light lingering smoky flavor.

Great complex beer.

Hops: Warrior

Malts: Pale, Smoked, Black, Oats

Brewed with beechwood smoked malt from Bamberg, Germany.

Aged in oak barrels.

Fermented with German lager yeast.

Seasonally available in November in bottles and on draft.
