The Bruery Oude Tart Flemish-Style Sour Red Ale Review

Pours a red-amber color.  Sour and wood notes upfront.  Nice lingering sour flavors, combined with some oak and dark fruit.

Aged in red wine barrels for 18 months.

Limited late summer seasonal release in bottles.

Velvety smooth with complex sour flavors. Dark cherry and woody oak notes.

Flavorful sour red. Very tart with notes of woody oak and dark fruit. Complex beer.

Great sour red ale with subtle oak and wine grape flavors. Look for it every year and cellar a few bottles. The sourness softens after a year and flavors get a bit more wine like.
