February 2014 Seasonal and New Craft Beer Releases

February brings some great seasonal and new craft beers to shelves and bars. Craft beer fans will see plenty of new IPAs, Saisons, Stouts, and Porters become available this month.

Odell Brewing (Fort Collins, CO) will release their Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA (9.7% ABV) on February 22nd. They will also release several regular beers in Texas for the first time in late February.

Cigar City (Tampa, FL) will have their Patio Tools Dry Irish Style Stout (5.5%, 35 IBUs) on nitro taps across Florida starting in February and into March through St. Patrick’s Day.

Fresh off their Gold Medal Award at the GABF, Fat Head’s (Cleveland, OH) will have a special release of their winning Hop JuJu Imperial IPA (9%, 100 IBUs).

Russian River Brewing (Santa Rosa, CA) released their highly sought after Pliny The Younger Triple IPA (10.2%) in early February. The beer is brewed with Simcoe, Warrior, Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo, and Tomahawk hops.

Avery (Boulder, CO) releases their Uncle Jacobs Stout (17%), an Imperial Stout aged in oak bourbon barrels.

Black Raven (Redmond, WA) releases Pour Les Oiseaux (7.6%, 33 IBUs), a barrel aged Saison fermented with wild Brett yeast.

Blakkr, an Imperial Black Ale brewed as a collaboration between Surly (MN), Three Floyds (IN), and Real Ale (TX) will hit shelves in each breweries respective markets starting in February.

O’so Brewing (Plover, WI) Dominator Doppelbock (8.5%) will be a seasonal release in February.

Indeed (Minneapolis, MN) will releases their seasonal Hot Box Smoked Imperial Porter (9.5%, 56 IBUs) this month. The beer is brewed with three types of smoked malts and aged with hot jalapeño and Fresno peppers.

The Bruery (Orange County, CA) will release Saison De Lente (6.5%, 35 IBUs) and Sour in the Rye (Barrel-Aged Sour Rye Ale, 8.7%) this month. Both releases are highly recommended.

Wolverine State Brewing (Ann Arbor, MI) will release their seasonal India Red Lager, Gulo Revilo (7.4%, 61 IBUs). Crisp and hoppy lager brewed with American and Noble hops.

Hangar 24 (Redlands, CA) releases their Vinaceous (8.7%, 41 IBUs), an English Style Old Ale aged with Mourvedre grapes.

Drake’s (San Leandro, CA) will release their Hopocalypse Double IPA (9.3%, 100 IBUs) this month. The beer is brewed with Chinook, Simcoe, Citra, and Cascade hops.

Ithaca Brewing (Ithaca, NY) will offer their season Saison this month. Ground Break (6.0%) is brewed with Pale and Rye Malts, and hopped with Amarillo, Glacier, and Crystal hops.

Starr Hill (Charlottesville, VA) releases their seasonal Starr Hill Saison (6%, 20 IBUs) this month. The beer is brewed with East Kent Goldings and Saaz hops.

Lagunitas (Petaluma, CA) will release Wilco Tango Foxtrot (7.8%), and Imperial Brown Ale, this month.
