All Grain HomeBrew Czech Style Pale Lager Recipe
Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a smooth session-style Pale Czech Lager. Crisp and unfiltered with notes of mild sweet malt and spicy noble hops.
5 lbs Vienna Malt
5 lbs. Pilsner Malt
1 oz. Czech Saaz 4%a, 60 minutes
1 oz. Czech Saaz 4%a, at 20 minutes
1 oz. Czech Saaz 4%a, at 10 minutes
1/2 oz. Czech Saaz 4%a, at flameout
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 150 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Chill down to 50F and pitch yeast.
Ferment for about 10-14 days until primary fermentation just finishes.
Diacetyl Rest: Raise beer temp to 62-65F for 2-3 days.
