All Grain Rye Pilsner Recipe
Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a Rye Pilsner, similar to Deep Ellum Rye Pils. Medium-light bodied with crisp flavors of rye and spicy hops. Refreshing finish with medium hop bitterness.
7.5 lbs German Pilsner Malt
1 1/2 lbs Rye Malt
1 lb Vienna Malt
8 oz Dark Munich Malt
1 oz. Liberty 5%a, 60 minutes
1 oz. Mt. Hood 5%a, 30 minutes
1 oz. Sterling 7%a, 10 minutes
1/2 oz. Sterling 7%a, at flameout
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 150 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Ferment at 60-64 degrees.
Rack to a secondary and cold-age at 35F for 2-3 weeks.
