All Grain German Style Hefeweizen Wheat Beer Recipe
Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a light-bodied unfiltered German Style Hefeweizen Wheat Beer, similar to Drake’s Hefeweizen. Crisp, refreshing, and fruity with classic notes of banana and clove.
4.75 lbs Pale 2-Row
4.75 lbs White Wheat Malt
1/4 oz. Magnum 14%a, 60 minutes
1/2 oz. Saaz 4%a, 15 minutes
Other: 1 lb Rice Hulls (to help with sticky wheat mash)
Mash all grains with rice hulls mixed in, for 1 hour at 150 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Ferment at 63-68 degrees for 5-7 days.
