Profile: A copper colored strong ESB with caramel sweetness and medium hop bitterness, similar to Heavy Seas Winter Storm. Brewed with a mix of American and British hops. Nutty malt and earthy hop flavors. Extremely balanced and very drinkable.
10.5 lbs Pale Malt
4 lbs Maris Otter
12 oz. Crystal 60
6 oz. Caramel 20
3 oz. Chocolate Malt
1/2 oz. Warrior 16%a, 60 minutes
1 oz. Centennial 10%a, 30 minutes
1/2 oz. Cascade 6%a, at 20 minutes
1/2 oz. UK Fuggles 5%, 15 minutes
1 oz. UK Goldings 5%a, at flameout
1/2 oz. UK Fuggles 5%, at flameout
Dry-Hop: 1 oz. Cascade
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 152 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Ferment at 63-68 degrees.
