All Grain HomeBrew India Red Ale Recipe

Profile: HomeBrew recipe for an India Red Ale. Should come out ruby red in color and medium-bodied. Flavors of caramel malt, toasted malt, and citrusy and fruity hops. Big hoppy aromas of citrus and tropical fruit and high hop bitterness.

Ingredients:

Malts

11 lbs 2-Row Pale Malt

12 oz. Crystal 70

12 oz. Light Munich

3 oz. Roasted Barley

Hops

1.5 oz. Citra 11%a, 60 minutes

1/2 oz. Centennial 10%a, 30 minutes

1/2 oz. Citra 11%a, 20 minutes

Yeast: American Ale

Dry-Hop: 1/2 oz. Citra, 1/2 oz. Centennial

Instructions:

Mash all grains for 1 hour at 152 degrees.

Sparge at 170 degrees.

One hour boil with hop regimen above.

Ferment at 63-68 degrees.

Rack to keg or secondary and dry-hop for 7 days.
