All Grain Session IPA Recipe

Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a flavorful Session IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic hops. Aromas and flavors of tropical fruit, pineapple, blueberry, and crushed gooseberries. Dry finish with medium hop bitterness. Low ABV IPA with massive hop aromas and flavors from heavy late-hopping and dry-hopping.



9.5 lbs Pale 2-row

8 oz. Crystal 40

8 oz. White Wheat Malt


1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 60 minutes

1/2 oz. Mosaic 12%a, 15 minutes

1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 15 minutes

1/2 oz. Mosaic 12%a, 10 minutes

1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 5 minutes

Yeast: American Ale

Dry-Hop: 1 oz. Nelson Sauvin, 1 oz. Mosaic


Mash all grains for 1 hour at 150-152 degrees.

Sparge at 170 degrees.

One hour boil with hop regimen above.

Ferment at 63-68 degrees.

Rack to keg or secondary and for 3 weeks. Add dry hops for 7 days before kegging or bottling.

    Wow. Huge hop flavour haha First swig was huge pineapple flavour amazing. Then grapes and apricot. Used White labs Yeast Bay Vermont Ale which added a nice peach after taste too!! AMAZING

    I think the hop profile really pushed the limit for my palate. I was closer to 60IBUs in my recipe. Would like to tone this down a bit and I think this would be a 4-5 star beer as I did enjoy the fruity notes of the hops.



    Looks awesome. On my brew calendar for this weekend.
