All Grain Rye Saison Recipe
Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a single-hopped Rye Saison brewed with 100% Nelson Sauvin hops. Crisp and dry with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, gooseberries, rye, and light peppery spice. Medium hop bitterness. Brewed with about 30% rye.
9 lbs 2-Row Pale Malt
3 lb Rye Malt
8 oz. Flaked Rye
1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 60 minutes
1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 20 minutes
1 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 10 minutes
Dry Hop: 1 oz Nelson Sauvin
Other: 12 oz rice hulls (helps with sticky rye mash)
Mash all grains with rice hulls for 1 hour at 150 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Ferment at 68F.
