All Grain Session Style Hoppy Wheat Beer Recipe
Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a crisp, refreshing wheat beer, hopped with Neslon Sauvin hops. Brewed with 50% wheat malt. Medium-light bodied with notes of citrus, and fruity hops.
5 lbs White Wheat Malt
5 lbs Pale 2-row
8 oz. Acidulated Malt
1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 60 minutes
1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 20 minutes
1/2 oz. Nelson Sauvin 12%a, 5 minutes
Dry-Hop: 1 oz. Nelson Sauvin
Other: 1 lb. Rice Hulls – to use in the mash due to wheat malts stickiness.
Mash all grains with rice hulls mixed in for 1 hour at 152 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Ferment at 63-68 degrees.
