Profile: HomeBrew recipe for an Oatmeal Stout similar to Ninkasi Oatis. Full-bodied with a velvety smooth mouthfeel. Strong roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate flavors. Smooth finish with medium hop bitterness.
12.5 lbs Pale Malt
1 lb Flaked Oats
12 oz. Roasted Barley
8 oz. Crystal 80
8 oz. Chocolate Malt
1 oz. Nugget 13%a, 60 minutes
1/2 oz. Nugget 13%a, 30 minutes
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 152 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Ferment at 63-68 degrees.
