Profile: HomeBrew recipe for an India Pale Lager, similar to Portland Brewing India Pale Lager. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. Medium-bodied with flavors with crisp malt and citrusy hop flavors. Clean finish with high hop bitterness.
12.5 lbs Pale 2-row
1 lb Munich Light
10 oz. Crystal 40
3 oz. Crystal 120
1 oz. Zeus 15%a, at 60 minutes
1 oz. Chinook 13%a, 20 minutes
1 oz. Cascade 6%a, 10 minutes
Dry-Hops: 1 oz. Amarillo, 1/2 oz. Sterling
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 150 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above.
Chill down to 50F and pitch yeast.
Ferment for about 10-14 days until primary fermentation just finishes.
Diacetyl Rest: Raise beer temp to 62-65F for 2-3 days.
