All Grain Rye IPA Recipe
Profile: American Rye IPA with a punch of aggressive hops and moderate spicy rye malt notes. Earthy, woody, fruity, and piney hop aromas and flavors. Dry finish with high hop bitterness.
10 lbs German Pilsen 2-row
1.5 lbs Rye Malt
1 lb Munich Light
1 lb CaraRed
1 lb Crystal 60
8 oz. Wheat Malt
1.33 oz. Amarillo 7.5%a, First Wort Hopped
1 oz. Columbus 16.3%a, 30 minutes
1 oz. Simcoe 12.7%a, 10 minutes
1 oz. Nelson Sauvin 11.8%, at flameout
Dry-Hops: 1 oz. Simcoe (whole leaf)
Mash all grains for 75 minutes at 152 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
90 Minute boil with hop regimen above.
Primary ferment at 67 degrees.
