All Grain HomeBrew Oatmeal Milk Stout Recipe
Profile: HomeBrew recipe for an Oatmeal Milk Stout, similar to Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat. Creamy and roasty with flavors of coffee, chocolate, and sweet malt. Finishes smooth with low bitterness. Nice session style stout.
7 lbs Pale 2-row
1 lb Flaked Oats
10 oz. Roasted Barley
8 oz. Victory Malt
8 oz. Vienna Malt
3 oz. Black Patent
1/2 oz. Galena 12%a, 60 minutes
Other: 8 oz. lactose milk sugar
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 152 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above. Add lactose sugar for the final 5 minutes of the boil.
Ferment at 65-67 degrees.
