Profile: HomeBrew recipe for a Belgian Style Tripel, similar to Tallgrass Velvet Rooster. Golden colored with flavors of stone fruit and tropical fruit. Dry finish with mild sweetness. Classic Belgian aromas and flavors.
15 lbs Belgian Pilsner Malt
2 lbs Light Munich Malt
1 oz.Northern Brewer 9%a, 60 minutes
1/2 oz. Centennial 10%a, 30 minutes
1/2 oz. Willamette 5%a, at flameout
Other: 1 lb Light Candi Sugar
Mash all grains for 1 hour at 150 degrees.
Sparge at 170 degrees.
One hour boil with hop regimen above. Add Candi Sugar for last 10 minutes.
Ferment at 66-69 degrees.
