New Craft Beer Releases for August 2013
August craft beer releases include some late summertime styles and early Fall releases of Oktoberfests and Spiced Pumpkin Ales.
Founders Mango Magnifico (10%) release on August 1st. Strong ale flavored with mango and habanero peppers.
Pretty Things Meadowlark IPA (7%, 85 IBUs) release on August 4th. The IPA is brewed with Galaxy, Citra, and Bravo hops.
Rushing Duck (Chester, NY) will release a strong version of their Naysayer Pale Ale for their one year anniversary in August. The beer will be called a Triple Pale Ale, and weigh in at 11-12% ABV.
Perennial Artisan Ales (St. Lousi, MO) will release their seasonal Peach Berliner Weisse in August. Light-bodied and refreshing, with flavors of tart peaches.
Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel (Quebec, Canada) releases their 6e Soir Imperial Pilsner (8.5%). Deep gold with a malty body and smooth hop bitterness.
Sun King Brewery releases Big H (5.7%, 15 IBUs) a German Style Hefeweizen with banana and clove flavors.
Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale (8%) will be available late in the month. A spiced pumpkin ale brewed with fresh pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and clove.
Ithaca Country Pumpkin (6.3%), a seasonal Spiced Pumpkin Ale becomes available in August. Brewed with pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and allspice.
Harpoon UFO Pumpkin (5.9%, 20 IBUs), a Spiced Pumpkin Ale release later in the month.
Harpoon Oktoberfest (5.3%, 32 IBUs) should hit shelves in late August. A crisp seasonal lager with flavors of toasted malts.
Heavy Seas AARGHtoberfest (6%, 33 IBUs) brewed with German malts and hops arrives in August.
Avery releases their seasonal Imperial Oktoberfest, The Kaiser (9.5%) in August. Brewed with German malts and hops, and available in 22 oz bombers.
Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp 12-pack will hit shelves in August. The pack will include an IPA brewed with Cascade & Citra hops, a Black IPA, and an Imperial Red Ale.
Jack’s Abby Copper Legend (5.9%, 22 IBUs) German Style Oktoberfest is on shelves in the Boston area.
Terrapin Pumpkin Fest (6.1%, 23 IBUs) is on shelves in early August. Brewed with Munich Malts, German hops, pumpkin, and spices.
