New Craft Beer Releases for July 2013
July craft beer releases include a nice range of summer styles, like Belgian Wits, Session-Style IPAs, and fruit-flavored wheat beers. There are also some fantastic high-strength seasonal Belgian and German style ales.
Lagunitas Daytime (4.7%), an American Style Session IPA is out in July. Floral hop aromas with moderate hop bitterness.
Rahr & Sons Brewing out of Fort Worth, TX releases their seasonal Gravel Road Sticke Altbier (7.3%, 60 IBUs). Brewed with German Magnum and Tettnang hops. Malty and crisp with a smooth bitter finish.
Black Raven Brewing out of Redmond, WA offers their La Petite Mort starting in July. A Strong Belgian Style Dark Ale (8.8%) brewed with seven different malts.
Elysian Brewing Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale (5.4%) is available now. An American Pale Ale brewed with blood orange juice.
Mayflower Brewing’s summer seasonal, Summer Rye (3.8%) is out. A low ABV session-style ale available in Plymouth, MA.
The Lost Abbey has a couple summer seasonal releases available. Witch’s Wit (4.8%) is a refreshing Belgian Wit brewed with coriander, orange peel, and grapefruit zest. Ten Commandments (10%), is a strong Dark Farmhouse Ale, brewed with blackened raisins, rosemary, and honey. The beer is also fermented with wild Brettanomyces yeast.
Look for The Commons Berliner Weisse (3.4%) to tap in July. A refreshing sour wheat beer with citrus notes available in Portland, OR.
Silver Moon Brewing’s Getsum Pale Ale (5.6%), is a summer seasonal available in Bend, OR. Brewed with Chinook, Citra, and Centennial hops.
Johnny Utah Session IPA (4%, 50 IBUs) is out from Georgetown Brewery in Seattle. A low ABV hoppy session-style ale brewed with Crystal and Chinook hops.
Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, out of Richmond, VA, has their summertime Cream Ale (4.4%, 18 IBUs) available.
Hopworks Pig War White IPA (6%, 60 IBUs) is out in cans in the Portland, OR area.
Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project has their American Darling available. A German Style Pale Lager brewed with German malts and hops. The beer is available in the Boston, MA area.
Weyerbacher Brewing, out of Easton, PA has their annual anniversary beer available. Eighteen (11.1%) is brewed in the style of a strong German Weizenbock. Weyerbacher also just released a brand new seasonal IPA, Viridis Lupulus (7.5%, 95 IBUs), brewed with Apollo, Calypso, Centennial, and Galaxy hops.
Founders seasonal raspberry wheat beer, Rubaeus (5.7%), release in July. Brewed with fresh raspberries.
Avery Brewing releases their Uncle Jacob’s Stout (17%) on July 7th at their tap room in Boulder. A high strength bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout.
Devil’s Backbone has their award winning Berliner Metro Weiss (3.8%) on tap, a sour German wheat beer.
Cigar City has their Hotter than Helles (5%) on tap, a German Munich Style Helles Lager.
Hill Farmstead Susan (6.2%) is available on tap at the brewery. An IPA brewed with Riwaka, Citra, and Simcoe hops.
Full Sail’s Brewers Share series summer release is out. Chris’s Berliner Weiss (4%), unfiltered and tart, brewed with 50% wheat malt.
Austin Beerworks summer seasonal Einhorn (3.5%) is out. A tart, refreshing Berliner Weisse.
