A German ale yeast ideal for brewing Kolsch-Style ales. Isolated from a brewery in Cologne, Germany.

Produces clean flavors, very mild fruity esters when fermented at cool temperatures.

Low flocculation – requires additional cold-aging to clear and brighten the beer.
