Wyeast 3191 PC Berliner Weisse Blend

Part of Wyeast’s Private Collection of limited release yeast strains.

A blend of yeast strains for producing a Berliner Weisse or other sour style beer. The blend contains a low ester German Ale yeast, Lactobacillus, and a special Brettanomyces strain ideal for earthiness required in a Berliner Weisse.

Produces sourness and earthy notes.

Slow starting yeast. Recommended 3-6 months of aging.

Ideal environment for this blend is a low-hopped beer.
